A new raffle from UBI4ALL

The UBI4You project is inspired by initiatives such as UBI4ALL. We are pleased to announce that a new raffle from them is coming up on August 22. To take part in that raffle, you need to register on their website. This is a real opportunity to experience what Unconditional Basic Income can mean in everyday life.

UBI4ALL is a global initiative working to make basic income tangible and accessible. By organizing recurring raffles, they enable people around the world to receive a guaranteed monthly income for one to five years, depending on their country. Their approach is simple but powerful: instead of only talking about UBI, they put it into practice—creating real stories, real impact, and growing momentum for systemic change.

Round one starts with five participants

The first round of our basic income project launches with five participants from four different countries. Selected at random from our full pool of sign-ups, these five individuals will each receive a small daily basic income of 9,000 GoodDollars — equivalent to approximately one U.S. dollar per day — streamed directly to their GoodWallet over a period of three months.

Below, the participants introduce themselves.

Daniel Ablohr, Kasoah, Ghana

I am a married family man with a wife and three children—two girls and a boy. I have been a professional teacher for the past 25 years, with experience across three levels within the Ghana Education Service. I currently teach Government at Bawjiase Senior High School in the Central Region of Ghana.

I plan to use the GoodDollar funds to strengthen my teaching practice by acquiring learning resources that will make the study of Government more engaging, relatable, and meaningful for my students. I also intend to develop a community-based learning platform where students can continue accessing educational resources and interacting with learning materials beyond the classroom.

In addition, I serve as my school’s Professional Learning Community (PLC) coordinator. With this support, I hope to help build digital platforms where fellow teachers can access and share teaching resources to improve our collective practice.

Clinton Chima, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria

I come from a family that supports each other. Growing up, I learned the importance of hard work and education. I recently graduated and am now looking for opportunities to start working and build a stable life.

I am currently in the transition from school to work and trying to find a job where I can gain experience and support myself. I also want to be able to help my family in the future.

I plan to use GoodDollar funds to support myself during this period. The money will go toward basic needs like food, transportation for job applications, and internet access. I also want to use some of it for courses or training to improve my chances of finding a job.

Jose Zambrano, Caracas, Venezuela

I am married and have four children. I work as a driver to support my family.

I do not own a vehicle right now, which makes it harder to earn a steady income. I am saving to buy my own vehicle and plan to use GoodDollar to help with that.

Having a car would help me find more work and earn more money. It would also make it easier to support my family.

Sobuz Molla, Daka Magura, Bangladesh

I come from a modest family with my parents and siblings. I am currently a student and continuing my education, focusing on improving my knowledge and skills for the future.

Right now, I am not working full-time because I am focusing on my studies. I am trying to prepare myself for future opportunities.

I plan to use GoodDollar funds for my daily needs, such as food, transportation, and other basic expenses. I will try to save some for emergencies. I also want to use part of it for my education and to improve my skills.

Murcaling Sek, Cumillah, Bangladesh

I come from a low-income family in Bangladesh. My family works hard to cover our basic needs. I am currently a student and focused on continuing my education. I also try to help my family when I can and spend time learning useful skills.

My goal is to become financially stable, support my family, and improve my situation over time. Any support I receive will help me continue my studies and manage daily challenges.

I plan to use GoodDollar for basic expenses such as food, personal needs, and some education-related costs. It will also help reduce pressure on my family. I will try to use the funds carefully and save a small portion if possible.
